International Research Seminar Held at West Caspian University.
An international research seminar was held at West Caspian University as part of the International Autumn Lectures series.
The seminar featured a lecture entitled “Bayesian Statistics: Applications in Structural Biology” delivered by Professor Garib M. Murshudov, Program Leader at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
The seminar explored the fundamental principles of Bayesian statistics, the evaluation of scientific findings under conditions of uncertainty, and the potential applications of this approach in structural biology research.
Furthermore, the role of Bayesian methods in the analysis of complex biological systems, the interpretation of experimental data, and the testing of scientific hypotheses was highlighted. Participants exchanged views on the importance of this approach in enhancing the accuracy of research in structural biology and ensuring the reliability of scientific findings.
